Those Burning Questions, Answered

Q: What is Soundbrokers?
A: Soundbrokers is a premium service dedicated to Independent Music. Our platform at enables creators of digital content to express themselves and their content in a dynamically fun ways, for Listeners from around the world to enjoy.

Q: Who Can Join Soundbrokers?
A: Every Independent Musician or Band who does not have distribution contracts with Sony, Warner or Universal Music groups may register as a "Creator" and publish content on Soundbrokers. In addition, all Fans of Independent Music can register as a "Listener".

Q: I previously registered, do I need to re-register?
A: If you previously joined Soundbrokers, you do not need to create a new account. Simply go to the Access Page, create a New Password, and Sign In. Soundbrokers is free to register, but access to Soundbytes, Soundboards + Soundbooks is limited to paid subscribers. Limit is one account per artist or listener. Creators do not need to reguister a Listener account to enjoy the experience.

Q: Can Third Parties (Agents, Managers, Reps) create accounts on behalf of Artists?
A: No. In the past, several so-called agents, managers and representatives of artists took advantage of our services and by default artists who joined our community. We have since eliminated this option. Violation of this rule will result in immediate termination of the creator account and all benefits associated with it. Second, we want Creators to have full control over which content they publish and how much revenue they earn on Soundbrokers.

Q: What Is A Soundboard?
A: A Soundboard is unlike any digital streaming product on the market today. It is a compilation of audio or video + lyrics, credits, photos and story of how the content came into being, directly from the artist perspective. Soundboards are unique to each artist and added to the Soundboard Stream as they are published.

Q: What Is A Soundbook?
A: A Soundbook is a newly released product, exclusively by Soundbrokers. It is like an old-school Cassette or Compact Disc, with and expanded playlist + all the features of a Soundboard, that can be downloaded to any Talbet or Mobile device that accepts ePub 3.0 formats (most modern devices do), to be enjoyed offline -anywhere, anytime.

Q: What Does Premium Subscription Include?
A: Premium Subscription currently grants full access, for both Listeners and Creators, to the entire library of Soundbooks, Soundboard Stream and Soundbytes Radio.

Q: What Does Premium Subscription Cost?
A: Premium Subscription has two options. First, a POP (Pay One Price) of $99.99 USD and valid for one full calendar year from the date of purchase. Second is NEN (Noodles Every Night) of $8.88 USD per month, with a twelve month committment. Subscription must be renewed either monthly or annually for continued access and use of the services.

Q: What Is A "Linfluencer"?
A: Soundbrokers believes in rewarding Listeners for their continued engagement and interaction with Creators and content they make available. A true "Linfluencer" is more than a like, fave, mention or card download, they are a person or people who really promote both music and folks behind the music. Soundbrokers collects vital information from interactions on-site and though our social media channels. When we see an outstanding Listener, we dub them an Linfluencer and drop some serious perks in their direction. These perks can range from exclusive access to content, online-offline events, promotional events, merchandise and beyond.

Q: How Are Creators Compensated?
A: Great question. Soundbrokers is not your typical streaming service. Fact is, we tossed out the old-school standardized digital music revenue model aka "Parker Model" and designed an entirely new approach. This means all Creators who have joined and published Soundboards and Soundbooks are entitled to remuneration.

1. Equility Portion : We reserve a generous portion of all subscriber intake on a month-to-month basis and distribute that portion equally among participating artists, for each Remuneration Schedule. There are four consecutive schedules per year.

2. Interactive Bonus : This portion specifically relates to Soundboard + Soundbook engagements. We collect and store data from interactions to Soundboards. These actions include: likes, favorites, card downloads, plays, unique views and chatter. In addition, we collect data from Soundbook downloads. Certain Soundboards or Soundbooks may have more interactions, and therefore the Creator of that board(s) or book(s) is given a higher percentage of the Interactive Bonus. This also occurs on a month-to-month basis and within the same Remuneration Schedule.
